Tindersticks Ypres

In 2011 Tindersticks were commissioned by the In Flanders Fields Museum to provide the soundcape for the new permanent exhibition.

Because buildings always have their own nature, and spaces within the Cloth Hall seemed to resonate to the key of F, the music was worked out in a cluster with Eb, F and F#. Stuart Staples and Dan McKinna worked closely together to compose the work. The various components were mixed together in the individual spaces of the exhibition, so as to loop seamlessly all day, without a beginning, middle or end.
