Andrew Tatham's great-grandfather trained the officers of the 8th Battalion of the Berkshire Regiment. In september 195, before they left for the War, a group photo was taken.
Tatham made an impressive study of that one photo. Of each of the 45 men in the group, he reconstructed the course of their individual lives, and went in search of their ancestors and their descendants, one hundred years before and after their birth. In the artistic project A Group Photo. Before, now & in between, he highlighted their passage through the great violent times that mark their and our present and past.
